What is Settings?

Settings is where you manage your Minibuddies account and preferences. You can update your profile (name, avatar), adjust how the product behaves, and access account-related options. Settings are personal to your account and don’t affect other users.

Accessing Settings

From the dashboard, click Settings in the sidebar. The Settings page opens with sections for profile, preferences, and account management.

Profile settings

Your profile includes information that identifies you in the product:
  • Name - The display name shown in the dashboard and, where applicable, in shared contexts. Update it to reflect how you want to be known.
  • Avatar - A profile image. You can upload a photo or remove the current one. Avatars help personalize the experience and make it easier to recognize your account.

Open Settings

Click Settings in the dashboard sidebar.

Edit profile

Find the Profile or Account section. Update your name and, if desired, upload or change your avatar.

Save changes

Click Save or Update to apply your changes. They take effect immediately.

Notifications

Minibuddies can send you in-app notifications for updates, alerts, and important events. Notifications appear in the dashboard (often via a bell icon in the header). You can:
  • View unread notifications
  • Mark notifications as read
  • Configure notification preferences in Settings (if available)
Notification types may include info, alerts, success messages, and warnings. Check your notification center regularly to stay updated.

Preferences

Preferences control how Minibuddies behaves for you. Options may include:
  • Language - If supported, choose your preferred language for the interface.
  • Timezone - Set your timezone so dates and times display correctly.
  • Notifications - Control whether you receive email or in-app notifications (if available).
  • Defaults - Set default agent, default view, or other starting options.
Available options depend on the current Minibuddies feature set. Check the Settings page for the latest options.

Account and security

  • Email - The email address associated with your account. Changing it may require verification.
  • Sign-out - Sign out of Minibuddies on the current device. You’ll need to sign in again to access your account.
  • Connected accounts - If you signed up with Google, you may see your connected Google account. Disconnecting may affect how you sign in - proceed with care.
Changing your primary email or disconnecting a sign-in method can affect your ability to log in. Ensure you have a working way to access your account before making changes.

Billing and subscription

Billing and subscription management may be available in Settings or through a dedicated Billing section:
  • Current plan - View your plan (Starter, Pro, Pro+).
  • Usage - See credit usage and limits for the current period.
  • Upgrade or change plan - Links or buttons to modify your subscription.
  • Payment method - Update your payment details (handled securely through our payment provider).

Integrations management

Some users manage integrations from Settings; others use the dedicated Integrations section. If available in Settings, you can:
  • View connected integrations
  • Disconnect integrations you no longer need
  • Reconnect integrations if a connection has expired

Data and privacy

  • Data usage - Information about how your data is used to improve the service (if applicable).
  • Privacy policy - Link to the full privacy policy.
  • Terms of service - Link to the terms you agreed to when signing up.

Troubleshooting

Changes aren’t saving

  • Ensure you clicked Save or Update.
  • Check your internet connection.
  • Refresh the page and try again. If the issue persists, contact support.

Avatar upload failed

  • Verify the file format (typically JPG, PNG) and size limits.
  • Try a smaller image or a different format.
  • Ensure your browser allows file uploads for the site.

Can’t find a setting

  • Settings may be reorganized over time. Look for related sections (e.g., Profile, Account, Billing).
  • Some features may be plan-specific. Check whether the option is available on your plan.
  • Contact support if you believe a setting is missing or incorrect.
