What you can do with social integrations
Connecting LinkedIn and Instagram enables Minibuddies agents - especially Luma, the Social Media Manager - to:- Draft posts - Create captions, carousels, and hashtags tailored to your brand and audience
- Analyze content - Review engagement, identify trends, and suggest improvements
- Schedule and plan - Help plan content calendars and optimal posting times
- Maintain brand voice - Use your Memory and past content to match your tone and style
Connecting LinkedIn
Click Connect
Click Connect or Authorize next to LinkedIn. You’ll be redirected to LinkedIn’s sign-in and permission screen.
Sign in to LinkedIn
Sign in with the LinkedIn account you use for your profile or company page. Use the account that has the content and audience you want to manage.
Review and approve permissions
LinkedIn will show the permissions Minibuddies is requesting. These typically include read and write access to your profile, posts, and possibly page management. Review and click Allow or Accept.
Connecting Instagram
Open Integrations
From the dashboard, click Integrations in the sidebar. Find Instagram in the list.
Click Connect
Click Connect or Authorize next to Instagram. You may be redirected to Facebook (Meta) since Instagram uses Facebook’s business ecosystem for API access.
Sign in and approve
Sign in to your Facebook account (or the account linked to your Instagram business or creator profile). Grant the requested permissions for Instagram.
Instagram’s API often requires a business or creator account linked to a Facebook Page. Personal accounts may have limited or no API access. Check Instagram’s current API policies for the latest requirements.
Example prompts for social media

“Suggest five LinkedIn post ideas for a B2B SaaS company focused on productivity. Include hook and outline for each.”Carousel outline:
“Create a 5-slide LinkedIn carousel outline about the benefits of remote work. Include title, bullet points for each slide, and a CTA for the last slide.”Hashtag research:
“Suggest 10 relevant hashtags for a post about AI in healthcare. Mix popular and niche.”Analyze performance:

Best practices
- Add brand context - Use Memory to store your brand voice, key messages, and tone. Agents will use this when drafting.
- Review before posting - Always review agent-generated content. Edit for accuracy, tone, and compliance before publishing.
- One account per integration - Each integration typically connects one account. For multiple profiles, you may need to switch or use separate setups.
- Platform rules - Follow LinkedIn and Instagram’s terms of service and content policies. Agents help you create content; you’re responsible for what you publish.
Disconnecting
To disconnect LinkedIn or Instagram:- Go to Integrations in the dashboard.
- Find LinkedIn or Instagram.
- Click Disconnect or Remove.
- Confirm the action.
Troubleshooting
LinkedIn connection failed
- Ensure pop-ups aren’t blocked.
- Try a different browser or incognito mode.
- Verify you’re signing in with the correct LinkedIn account.
- LinkedIn may restrict some third-party apps. Check your account’s app permissions.
Instagram connection failed
- Instagram often requires a business or creator account linked to a Facebook Page. Convert your account if needed.
- Sign in through Facebook if prompted. Use the Facebook account linked to your Instagram.
- Some regions or account types may have limited API access. Check Meta’s developer documentation.
Agent can’t post
- Verify you granted write/publish permissions during setup.
- Reconnect the integration to refresh the token.
- Some features (e.g., auto-posting) may require additional setup or may not be available. Check the current feature set.
Drafts don’t match my voice
- Add brand guidelines, sample posts, or tone notes to Memory. Reference them in your prompt: “Use my brand voice from Memory.”
- Provide examples in the prompt: “Write in a similar style to [paste example].”
- Iterate: ask the agent to revise with specific feedback.
