What is the Task Calendar?

The Task Calendar in Minibuddies displays your events in a calendar view inside the dashboard. When you connect Google Calendar, you can sync your meetings, deadlines, and events to the Minibuddies calendar. You can view your schedule at a glance and - when relevant - agents can use your calendar to help plan, prioritize, and suggest next steps. The calendar does not create or edit events by default; it primarily surfaces your existing schedule. Sync does not happen automatically - you sync your calendar to Minibuddies when you need to. Agent capabilities may expand over time.

Connecting Google Calendar

1

Open Integrations

From the dashboard, click Integrations in the sidebar. You’ll see a list of available integrations, including Google Calendar.
2

Find Google Calendar

Locate Google Calendar in the integrations list. It may be grouped with other Google services (e.g., Gmail, Drive).
3

Click Connect

Click Connect or Authorize for Google Calendar. You’ll be redirected to Google’s sign-in and permission screen.
4

Sign in and approve

Sign in to your Google account if needed. Review the permissions Minibuddies is requesting. Typically this includes read access to your calendar events. Approve the request to complete the connection.
5

Verify connection

After approval, you’re redirected back to Minibuddies. The Google Calendar integration should show as Connected. You can then sync your calendar events to the Task Calendar section when needed.
Minibuddies requests only the permissions needed to read your calendar. Your credentials are stored securely and used only to fetch your events. You can disconnect the integration at any time from the Integrations section.

Viewing your calendar

1

Open Task Calendar

From the dashboard, click Task Calendar or Calendar in the sidebar. The calendar view loads with your events after you sync your calendar.
2

Navigate the calendar

Use the calendar controls to switch between day, week, and month views. Navigate forward and backward to see different time ranges. Your events appear as blocks or entries on the calendar.
3

View event details

Click an event to see more details - title, time, description, and other metadata that Google Calendar provides.

How agents use your calendar

When you ask an agent for help with scheduling, planning, or prioritization, it may reference your calendar if the integration is connected. For example:
  • “What do I have scheduled tomorrow?”
  • “When am I free for a 30-minute call this week?”
  • “Summarize my meetings for today.”
Agents use calendar data only in response to your requests. They don’t automatically modify events unless you explicitly ask them to and the feature is supported.
For scheduling-related prompts, mention that you want the agent to use your calendar. For example: “Check my calendar and suggest three time slots for a 1-hour meeting next week.”

Disconnecting Google Calendar

If you want to disconnect your Google Calendar:
  1. Go to Integrations in the sidebar.
  2. Find Google Calendar.
  3. Click Disconnect or Remove.
  4. Confirm the action.
You will no longer be able to sync your calendar to Minibuddies. Past events that were displayed in the Task Calendar may be cleared. Your actual Google Calendar is unchanged.

Troubleshooting

Events aren’t showing

  • Verify the integration is connected (Integrations section shows “Connected”).
  • Ensure you have synced your calendar to Minibuddies. Sync does not happen automatically.
  • Check that your Google account has calendar events.
  • Ensure you granted calendar read permissions during connection.

Wrong calendar or missing events

  • Google accounts can have multiple calendars. When you sync, Minibuddies may use your primary calendar. Support for multiple calendars depends on the implementation.
  • If you use a different Google account for work, connect that account’s calendar.

Connection failed

  • Ensure pop-ups aren’t blocked for minibuddies.ai.
  • Try a different browser or incognito/private window.
  • Clear cookies and cache, then try connecting again.
  • Verify your Google account is in good standing.
