What you’ll learn

This guide walks you through your first conversation with Minibuddies. You’ll learn how to open the Brain, write a prompt, attach files (optional), choose an agent, and interpret the response. By the end, you’ll be ready to use Minibuddies for real work.

Open the Brain

1

Go to the dashboard

After signing in, you’ll land on the Minibuddies dashboard. The main area shows the Brain -your primary chat interface. If you’re on a different section (e.g., Chats or Integrations), click Brain in the sidebar to switch.
2

Find the prompt box

At the bottom of the screen, you’ll see a text area where you can type your message. This is the prompt box. You can also attach files using the paperclip icon. Above or beside the prompt box, you’ll see which agent is currently selected -Brain by default.
3

Write your first prompt

Type something simple to test the system. Here are a few ideas:
  • “What can you help me with?”
  • “Summarize the key benefits of AI automation for small businesses.”
  • “Write a short LinkedIn post about the importance of work-life balance.”
Press Enter or click Send to submit your prompt.
4

Watch the response

Minibuddies streams the response in real time. You’ll see text appear as the AI generates it. Responses can include formatted text, lists, code blocks, and links. Wait for the response to complete before sending another message.

Choosing an agent

By default, you’re using Brain - a general-purpose assistant. For specialized tasks, you can switch to another agent:
  • Brain - General help, open-ended questions, mixed tasks
  • Luma - Social media content, scheduling, engagement
  • Optimus - SEO audits, keyword research, content optimization
  • Atlas - Data analysis, charts, reports
  • Scribe - Meeting summaries, action items
  • Ledger - Finance, expenses, reports
  • Justice - Legal review, contracts, compliance
  • Hunter - Business strategy, market analysis
  • Polyglot - Translation, localization
To switch agents, use the agent selector in the chat interface (usually near the prompt box or in the sidebar). Your current conversation continues, but the agent’s expertise and tools change based on your selection.

Attaching files (optional)

You can attach images, videos, or code snippets to your prompts. This gives the agent more context and enables tasks like:
  • Analyzing a screenshot or diagram
  • Summarizing a video
  • Reviewing or explaining code
Click the paperclip icon, choose your file type, and select the file. The attachment appears in your message. Not all agents use attachments the same way -Brain and Atlas are good starting points for file-based tasks.
Keep files reasonably sized. Large videos may take longer to process. Supported formats typically include common image types (PNG, JPG), video (MP4), and text/code files.

Example prompts to try

Once you’re comfortable, try prompts that match your workflow: For social media (Luma):
“Draft three LinkedIn post ideas about the future of remote work. Keep each under 150 characters for the preview.”
For SEO (Optimus):
“List five low-competition keywords I could target for a blog about project management software.”
For general help (Brain):
“Explain the difference between Scrum and Kanban in simple terms. Use bullet points.”
For data (Atlas):
“I’m about to upload a CSV. When I do, summarize the columns and suggest two charts that would best visualize the data.”

Starting a new chat

When you want to begin a fresh conversation:
  1. Click New Chat or the plus icon (location varies by layout)
  2. Your previous chat is saved and appears in the Chats section
  3. You can return to it anytime from the sidebar
New chats don’t carry over context from previous ones unless you add relevant information to Memory or reference it in your prompt.

What happens behind the scenes

When you send a prompt:
  1. Request - Your message, attachments, and selected agent are sent to the Minibuddies backend.
  2. Processing - The agent uses its tools and your connected integrations (if relevant) to fulfill your request.
  3. Streaming - The response is streamed back to you token by token.
  4. Storage - The conversation is saved so you can revisit it later in Chats.
Credits are consumed based on your usage. Your plan determines how many credits you have per month.
