Why connect integrations?

Minibuddies agents become much more useful when they can work with your real data. Integrations link your accounts (email, calendar, drive, social, etc.) to Minibuddies so agents can read, analyze, and act on your information when you ask. Without integrations, agents can only use what you type in the chat. With integrations, they can summarize your emails, check your calendar, draft posts from your drive files, and more. Connecting is secure: you authorize each integration via OAuth, and Minibuddies stores credentials securely. You can disconnect any integration at any time.

How to connect an integration

1

Open Integrations

From the dashboard, click Integrations in the sidebar. You’ll see a list of available integrations with status (Connected or Not connected).
2

Choose an integration

Click the integration you want to connect (e.g., Gmail, LinkedIn, Google Calendar). Each integration has a brief description of what it enables.
3

Click Connect

Click Connect or Authorize. You’ll be redirected to the provider’s sign-in and permission screen.
4

Sign in and approve

Sign in to the provider (Google, Microsoft, LinkedIn, etc.) if needed. Review the permissions Minibuddies is requesting. These typically include read/write access needed for the features you’ll use. Approve the request.
5

Return to Minibuddies

After approval, you’re redirected back to Minibuddies. The integration should show as Connected. Agents can now use it when relevant to your requests.
Connect integrations as you need them. You don’t have to connect everything at once. Start with the tools you use most -Gmail, Calendar, and LinkedIn are common first choices.

Integration categories in detail

Email: Gmail, Outlook

Agents can read your emails (with your permission), summarize threads, draft replies, and help manage your inbox. Useful for Luma (social + email workflows), Brain (general assistance), and custom agents focused on communication.
  • Gmail - Full inbox access, labels, threads. Works with personal and Google Workspace accounts.
  • Outlook - Microsoft 365 and Outlook.com. Similar capabilities for business and personal email.

Email integrations

Step-by-step setup for Gmail and Outlook.

Productivity: Google Drive, Google Calendar

  • Google Drive - Access files (docs, sheets, PDFs) for analysis, summarization, and content creation. Agents can reference your documents when drafting or researching.
  • Google Calendar - Sync your events to the Task Calendar, check availability, suggest meeting times. Powers the Task Calendar view and scheduling-related prompts. Sync does not happen automatically.

Google Drive & Calendar

Connect and use Google productivity tools.

Social: LinkedIn, Instagram

  • LinkedIn - Draft posts, analyze profile or page data, manage content. Luma and custom agents use this for thought leadership and professional content.
  • Instagram - Post drafting, content ideas, engagement insights (when available). Often used with Luma for social media management.

LinkedIn & social

Set up social media integrations.

Collaboration: Discord, GitHub, Airtable, Telegram

  • Discord - Post to channels, manage messages. Useful for communities and team communication.
  • GitHub - View repos, issues, pull requests. Push code when authorized. Useful for developers and technical workflows.
  • Airtable - Connect databases and bases. Automate workflows and sync data for analysis.
  • Telegram - Connect your Telegram bot to manage notifications and community messages.

GitHub & Discord

Connect developer and team tools.

Disconnecting an integration

To stop an agent from using an integration:
  1. Go to Integrations in the dashboard.
  2. Find the integration you want to disconnect.
  3. Click Disconnect or Remove.
  4. Confirm the action.
Your credentials are removed from Minibuddies. The integration no longer appears as connected, and agents will not use it. Your actual account (Gmail, LinkedIn, etc.) is unchanged.

Security and permissions

  • OAuth - Minibuddies uses OAuth for connections. You never share your password with Minibuddies.
  • Scopes - We request only the permissions needed for the features we support. You can review these on the provider’s consent screen.
  • Storage - Credentials are stored securely and used only to fulfill your requests.
  • Revocation - You can revoke access at any time from Minibuddies (Disconnect) or from the provider’s account settings (e.g., Google Account, Microsoft Account).

Troubleshooting

Connection failed

  • Ensure pop-ups aren’t blocked for minibuddies.ai.
  • Try a different browser or incognito/private window.
  • Clear cookies and cache, then try again.
  • Verify your account with the provider is in good standing.

Integration stopped working

  • Some tokens expire. Disconnect and reconnect the integration to refresh.
  • Check whether the provider has changed their API or permissions.
  • Ensure you didn’t revoke access from the provider’s side.

Missing integration

  • Some integrations may be plan-specific. Check your plan’s features.
  • Integrations may be rolled out gradually. Contact support to request one.
